FPUI trails are still CLOSED I see there have been sleds out trying to ride please do not ride our trails. Some gates have been shut just to stop sledders from riding and us losing the trails. If the trails are closed that means no riding at all. When the trails reopen I will let you know here on our website, until then please don’t ride our trail system.

All FPUI trails are still open but are in poor to good condition. The weather is not cooperating and does not look good for the rest of this week. groomers will not go out until we get more snow or it is going to be cold for a while. There are mud holes, snirt, bare ground out there so be careful.

On C7H just north of Mapletown Rd. there is a groomer just off of the trail broken down, we hope to have this up and running in the next couple of days and this will be move.

That’s all for now I’ll update when it is needed.

BE SAFE OUT THERE RIDE RIGHT RIDE TO THE RIGHT

Good news all of our trails are now open. The trail C7D through the FT. Plain Museum was opened and groomed on Thursday and that was our last trail to get open.

All trails are in good shape with some water holes around so be careful, most are frozen but some are not.

C7D north of Rt 5 in Nelliston has some ruts from a Landowner’s manure spreader, but if we get the groomer fixed tomorrow they will be fixed tomorrow. Be careful.

We also have two groomers broken down and one is along the trail, on C7H south of Mapletown Rd. so be careful.

Don’t forget to come to our Pancake Breakfast This Sunday at the Canajoharie Moose Club.

RIDE TO THE RIGHT OF THE TRAIL IT’S THE RIGHT THING TO DO

Good news the groomer is out opening C7H to Ames as I type this, it’s cold water holes are freezing up and we have good snow to make trails

Trail C7D trough the Ft. Plain Museum is still CLOSED and I have reports that sleds are riding around gates through brush, and riding down the Landowner’s corn. So if this trail is lost next year it’s on you people that have done this and not our Club it will be another trail lost to stupid sledders.

We have gotten complaints from Landowners about loud sleds and we may loose a trail because of this. We have notified the Sheriff’s department and they say the will be hitting the exhaust issue hard this year. We don’t need to loose any more trails especially to stupid things like loud exhaust and people not staying on the trails or running down crops. It’s up to us people who ride these to protect our sport, no one else is going to help.So if you see a sled with aloud exhaust take their registration # down and call 911, or if they don’t have a current sticker or anything else sledders are doing that is wrong call 911 that is their job. We have to protect our sport do the right thing.

We hope to have all the trails groomed and in the best condition we can for our Pancake Breakfast at the Canajoharie Moose Club this coming Sunday. We hope to see a lot of sleds there.

Remember ride to the right of the trail.
