Trails Still Closed - bskinner @ 16:23 PST
It has been awhile since I have posted anything so I thought I would update you on what's happening. The trails are still closed due to us not having any snow. We went out this weekend to GPS the trails, which needs to been done in order for us to receive funding from the State. We had to use a UTV because of no snow. We found that the trails, for the most part, are still visible with left over snow but the snow is rock hard or ice. If and when we do get snow it should not take a lot of snow to get the trails up and running. So pray for snow. Don't forget we have another Pancake Breakfast this Sunday at the Canajoharie Moose Club snow or no snow from 7 am till 12 pm. Please come and support your local club. I'll update this as needed.

Trail conditions - bskinner @ 07:55 PST
Please do not ride FPUI trails due to the rain which has turned the snow to slush. We have a flat trail now from the grooming and sled traffic, which will freeze up tonight, and if you ride our trails you will rut them up and then the ruts will be there the rest of the year. So please don't ride the trails. I will update you when the conditions are better. Thanks to those that came to our Pancake Breakfast this past Sunday at the Canjo Moose Club it was a great success.

Trail conditions - bskinner @ 09:22 PST
Groomers were out last night and are still out as I type this. Trails are getting better with the grooming and the snow setting up. The bike path trail C7P between Canajoharie and Ft. Plain is closed due to a missing bridge and us not being able to get landowner permission for a trail around the missing bridge. From the Canjo side you need to take trails S74 to CT 117, to C7H to C7D to Ft. Plain via the FT. Plain Museeum, and from Ft. Plain you need to follow these trails in reverse. We plan on grooming all day today to get the trails in better shape. Don't forget to come to our Pancake Breakfast tomorrow at the Canjoharie Moose, come and support your club. RIDE SAFE AND RIDE TO THE RIGHT OF THE TRAIL.

Trail conditions - bskinner @ 16:36 PST
WE got the groomer that was broken down back and running, the groomer on the north side of the river was out today. We plan on going out with all four groomers tomorrow depending on the weather. It is supposed to be 15 below zero in the morning and when it is that cold things tend to break and fixing them when it is that cold is no fun either, just like today putting the track back on at eight below for four hours. As far as the trails go the snow is all powder and it is blowing around a lot. I would say the trails are good at a reasonable speed with bare spots due to the wind. I'll update when I have more to report. Ride Right. Don't for get the Pancake breakfast this Sunday at the Canajoharie Moose Club from 7 am to 12 pm.

Well we tried to groom last night and had problems due to snow conditions. With no base it was very slow going and not packing very good. One groomer lost a track due to sliding down a side hill and is out in the trail along C7D near Fordsbush Road, hopefully we will have that back to the shop today. There is no base out there and very fluffy snow if you ride please ride on the trail and at a pace that will help pack the trail down so we can make it better for you. Be safe and ride to the right of the trail.

Trails are OPEN - bskinner @ 15:50 PST
FPUI trails are once again OPEN. Please ride with care there is no base. Please ride at a pace that will help pack down the trail and not blow the snow out and away from the trail. Please follow the trail sign as this is the safe place to ride. We who have made the trails know where the dangers are and mark the trail away from any of these dangers. We are going to try and go out with the groomers tonight and tomorrow. I will let you know how we make out tomorrow. Ride safe and ride to the right of the trail. RESPECT THE LANDOWNERS
