Trails Still Closed - bskinner @ 16:20 PST
Trails are still closed, big storm missed us. Looks like we may have weather coming in Friday the 30th, we will see. We may also have a nor'easter coming on Monday the 2nd, lets hope. I am going riding up north Friday but if there is a enough snow to ride on here I will post it as soon as possible. For now all we can do is hope for snow. Don't forget to come to our Pancake Breakfast this Sunday February 1, 7 am till 12 pm all are welcome. We had some people on the north side of the river that couldn't stay off of our trails and we had some landowner complaints and this forced us to lock gates and call the authorities who handed out some tickets. Be smart people don't ride the trails until they are open and always respect the landowners with out them you wouldn't be able to ride here at all. Think snow

FPUI TRAILS ARE CLOSED we have been having issues we people riding our closed trails and the authorities have been notified and will issue tickets for trespassing if necessary. We apologize to the land owners about this but most of the people are from out of the area and are playing dumb saying they didn't know our trails were closed even though they drive by signs that say our trails are closed. I don't know of any trails that are open in Montgomery County so if you want o ride go to Tug Hill where there is lots of snow, STAY OFF OF OUR TRAILS all you are going to do is cause problems. I will post here when our trails are open and also call the Sheriff's office and let them know that they are open when the time comes.

FPUI TRAILS ARE CLOSED WE HAVE NOT OPENED THEM YET THIS YEAR. Please do not ride our trails we do not have enough snow cover to ride. I know there are other riders out there but just because you see tracks does not mean the trails are open. I stopped two guys Saturday right at the Sunoco station in Canjo and they were from Perth and said they didn't know the trails were closed even though they came by 5 trail closed signs and the last one was a gate with a sign on it that they couldn't get by so they took the road all the way down into Canjo. right past the Canjo. Police station to the gas station. Can't fix stupid I guess. So don't ride our trails until I tell you here or see the groomers out on FPUI that they are open

Nope not enough snow yet. Tried to ride yesterday and there is not enough snow any where on our trails, you have to think harder for more snow. Don't forget Ames Firehouse has a breakfast this Sunday January 18th, please help them out by eating some pancakes. Till next update, think more snow.

Trails Still Closed - bskinner @ 15:20 PST
Here is another update FPUI trails are still closed due to lack of snow. The good news is when we do get snow every thing should be frozen and the snow should stay. I did forget to mention before we have some trail changes for the better. We moved three trails off of side hills which make it safer for our riders as well as our groomers. There is one major change and that is to the bike path (C7P) bypass around Canajoharie on the Sprakers end we will ride Canyon Rd. farther south and up to Rod Sutton's property before heading to the west due to the fact we lost a land owner there due to some vandalism last spring and him blaming it on snow mobilers. Just follow the signs and you should not have any trouble. Think snow and I will update accordingly.

Trails Still Closed - bskinner @ 08:20 PST
Just an update Tails are still CLOSED due to lack of snow cover. The landowners have been busy getting there crops off because of no snow. We only have a few spots on our trails that may have crops on them if snow comes in the near future, and one of them is Trail C7H between Lincoln Rd. and Ames. I am not sure about the north side of the river, I will find that out tonight at our meeting. Thanks to all that made our Pancake Breakfast a success, we were worried about the weather if we would get any people but our regulars showed up and supported us along with a few new faces, thanks again. I will update more info when it is needed. Respect our landowners and stay off the trails until there is sufficient snow cover.
