Trails open - bskinner @ 12:10 PST
FPUI trails are open with caution, there may be gates closed yet, our volunteers can only do so much. I am in no shape to go and help them. We have tried to go out with groomers but there is not enough snow base to hold the groomers up, and with 4 days of 40 degree weather coming we may not have the trails open very long. Be aware of some major trail changes due to land owner issues. We do not have a trail to the Ames Firehouse, so please do not ride the old trail, you could be charged with trespassing.Ride Safe

FPUI TRAILS ARE STILL CLOSED, even though we got more snow the trails still remain closed. The snow we had before has all melted and there is not enough new snow to open the trails. It may look like enough in spots out in the country the snow has blown clear in a lot of fields. I will let you know here when the trails are to be open. When the gates are closed trails are closed.
