FPUI trails are being groomed as I type this - Ed @ 13:15 PST
FPUI trails are being groomed as I type this, trails that have been groomed so far The north side of the river in Palatine and Stone Arabia have all been groomed at least once. The bike Path C7P has been groomed from Randall west to the Herk/Mont County line.C7P Bypass through Sprakers up Canyon Rd. through Marshville and back to the bike path is done. C7H has been groomed west to C7D at Brookmans Corners Rd. C7D has been groomed south to County line, the only part of C7D that has not been groomed is between Mill Rd and Viet’s Farm ST HWY 5s and that should be done tonight.

The trail through Saltspringville and Sprout Brook S73 is being done right now. The trail from St. Johnsville S78B to Viet’s was groomed and the rest of S78B should be done tonight. S72 and the rest of C7H in the town of Root will be groomed this afternoon and tonight. The trail S74 through Buel should be groomed tonight or in the morning tomorrow.

So as you can see our volunteers have been very busy getting the trails ready for you this weekend. It looks like it is supposed to be warm on Monday and then cool back down so hopefully the trails will survive and we can still ride for a while. Last Friday’s high temps and wind really took a toll on our trail system last week we had very little snow left.

I’ll update you next week if we do any more grooming. Be safe and ride to the right.

FPUI trails are in very poor condition - Ed @ 18:53 PST
FPUI trails are in very poor condition, the warm weather that we had last Friday really took atoll on the trails. Trails are very icy, have bare ground in spots, and very little new snow (thanks to the wind) for any lubrication.

Trails are still open but please be very careful and caution is needed do to the very icy conditions. The weathermen say we have snow and a mix on the way we will see what happens and I’ll update our trails after I see what mother nature brings us. Be safe out there.

FPUI trails are in good condition, with the cold weather the past two days we were able to do some grooming to get trails back in shape from the weekend.

I groomed the trail to the Ames Firehouse yesterday because they have a pancake breakfast there Sunday. If you ride to there this Sunday please follow the signs and stay on the trail our use of this land depends on you staying on the trails.

There will be wet holes, Ice,bare spots, and slush this weekend so please ride with care. There may be more snow next week lets hope so.

Ride safe and right to the right.

FPUI trails were in excellent condition - Ed @ 21:28 PST
FPUI trails were in excellent condition for the weekend but now there are some moguls and bare corners.

Trails will be groomed again when the volunteers can and weather permits.

It has to be below 25 degrees out to groom or the snow won’t work. When we can we will be out again but the weather does not look good highs of 30’s and 40’s this week. I let you know when we go out again.

FPUI trails are in the process being groomed - Ed @ 22:14 PST
FPUI trails are in the process being groomed as I type this. Two groomers were out last evening until dark, three groomers were out today all day and two groomers are out right now. All our trails should be groomed by tomorrow night pending no break downs. the snow is very hard and the groomers have to work very hard to get the trails level after last weekends traffic.

Conditions are excellent with a few bumps here and there but for the most part trails are flat and good snow cover.

Till the next time ride right and ride within your limit, trails would stay flat a lot longer if we could get rid of the throttle jockeys and wannabe snow cross racers

FPUI trails are being groomed as I type this - Ed @ 17:12 PST
FPUI trails are being groomed as I type this groomers were out last night and today and one will be out tonight.

We are one groomer down for a couple days but we are trying to get all the trails groomed for our pancake breakfast this Sunday at the Canajoharie Moose Club from 7am to 12pm so don’t miss it.

We have good snow cover on all of our trails but it is a little mushy and won’t really pack good but our volunteers are trying their best so please take it easy and don’t rip up the trails, they were in really rough shape from last weekend.

I guess there is more snow coming Saturday which is good now we just need to hope it stays for awhile it is the best year we have had in awhile. that’s it for now remember ride to the right.

FPUI trails were in rough shape come Monday - Ed @ 12:43 PST
FPUI trails were in rough shape come Monday morning after the very busy weekend of riders. We are unable to groom until more snow which is falling as I type this with a lot more on the way. The volunteer groomer drivers will be out as soon as possible when the snow has stopped and their personnel families are taken care of,remember they are people too and have lives. There should be plenty of snow after this storm and you’ll have to be patient with the grooming even with the groomers that we have it still takes two days to groom all the trails we have and that’s if the volunteers have off from work. I’ll let you know when the grooming is completed.

Don’t forget we have a PANCAKE BREAKFAST THIS SUNDAY AT CANAJOHARIE MOOSE CLUB from 7am to 12pm, this will be the first breakfast that we will be able to ride sleds to in a long time so we hope to see a lot of sleds there along with our much needed Land Owners. Until the next time ride safe and ride right.
