TRAILS ARE CLOSED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! - glen @ 11:03 PST
FPUI TRAILS ARE CLOSED to all until further notice, this includes four wheelers and UTV’s Even though we had snow last night there is not enough at this point, if things change I will post it and the groomers will go out. I am going to shut the gates on the Bike Path(C7P) today so stupid people that think they can ride won’t ruin the blacktop and cause us to lose our ability to use this trail in the future.

Loss of trails due to stupid people:

S75 Trail: Palatine Bridge
Landowner has informed us that the trail that goes through his land to McDonalds will be closed next year thanks to three four wheelers that decided to ride our trail to McDonalds on February 15,we tried to catch them but to no avail. We know who they are but unless they were caught in the act we can not have them arrested.

C7D Trail: North of the river near Eacker Rd,
This trail may be closed permanently do to trash on the trail( beer bottles), loud pipes on sleds. Landowner is very upset about this and it does not look good for the rest of this year or next.

FPUI trails are once again open, conditions are poor to fair. We had a foot of fluffy snow fall on Friday night but then the wind got into it and blew a lot away before the groomers got out. Three groomers went out Saturday and all report the same, two to three inch base to wind blown fields. You will find bare ground in spots to six foot snow drifts in others. We will continue to groom as long as we can. The town of Palatine is just about impassable due to wind blown fields. Plowed fields did not hold the snow at all. I will update you when I have more info. Trails that were groomed are C7P between Canjo. and Ft. Plain, C7D from FT. Plain sotuh to the County Line. S73 from county line north east to S74 and C7H west to Clinton road where we keep the groomer. S72 in the town of Root,S72A down Lincoln Rd to the Bike Path (C7P) east to Randall and back to Carlise Rd. St Jonsville north of the river was also groomed. Groomers may go out today also, As all ways RIDE SAFE AND RIDE TO THE RIGHT. deer antler spraydeer antler spraydeer antler spraydeer antler spray
