Trail conditions - bskinner @ 11:23 PST
Just got back from riding 25 miles on FPUI trails and they are all ice. Smooth in spots and very rough where the water holes were and people rode through them when the warm weather was here. We cannot groom until we get more snow. We were hoping to groom before the weekend but it does not look good. BE CAREFUL OUT THERE VERY ICY CONDITIONS.

Trail conditions - bskinner @ 14:29 PST
I have not ridden our trails since last Thursday, but looking from the roads I've been on they look to be in good shape with a few rough spots from sleds riding when they should not have, but they are all ICE so if you ride be very careful of the ice. We hope to groom before the weekend if we get more snow, but we will see what mother nature brings us. We have a Pancake Breakfast this coming Sunday at the Canajoharie Moose Club so come and enjoy our last breakfast for the year with us between 7 am and 12 pm. Be safe out there and ride to the right of the trail,

Trail conditions - bskinner @ 14:34 PST
Trails are flooded and should be closed. As of right now we will not close them but please don't ride them, as of right now they are pretty flat and if you ride them they will get ruts in them and it will be hard to fix them when we are able to groom again. Be safe.

Well we got some snow finally but the wind got into it in spots. We had 4 groomers out last night and today all trails are groomed except the trail around through Ames, and that one will be hit tonight. Trails are in good condition with a few bare spots due to the wind. For the most part they were perfect first thing this morning. Ames Fire House has a Pancake Breakfast tomorrow morning that is why we are waiting till tonight to groom that trail. Be SAFE AND RIDE TO THE RIGHT.

Trail conditions - bskinner @ 12:37 PST
Trails are in fair to good shape. Groomers have been out and have a nice base started, trails are flat as long as we can keep the throttle jockeys from tearing them up. We need more snow and hopefully it is coming tomorrow. We DO NOT have a trail between the Villages of FT. Plain and Canajoharie and there won't be one this year, if you ride through the Village of Ft. Plain you will be ticketed. And for the people that move our signs out of the trail between these Villages, if you get caught you will be ticket and fined $250 for messing with signs, besides causing other people to get tickets. That's all for now. Ride to the Right of the trail all of the time, be safe out there.

Trail conditions - bskinner @ 11:46 PST
Trails are beat up bad. This weekend we had tremendous amount of sleds riding and they really tore it up. We need more snow and we are going to try to fix them as best we can with the groomers but it is going to be hard with so little snow. I want to stress it again we DO NOT have a trail between Ft. Plain and Canajoharie you must follow the detour signs to go around and this is a 27 mile loop to get between these villages. No one should complain you are out there to ride. I saw a lot of out of control riders this weekend, and sleds not staying on the trails. We mark the trails for you to ride on the safest place so the trail is where you should be, if you can't keep it on the trail then you are out of control. Be safe out there and ride to the right of the trail.

Trails - bskinner @ 08:00 PST
The trail between Ft. Plain and Canajoharie is CLOSED, you must follow the detour signs for C7P. There has been a lot of sleds riding right passed trail closed signs and causing trouble in Ft. Plain riding down Rt. 5s and on sidewalks and in peoples' yards please do not ride this way follow the detour signs. Please respect landowners and stay on the marked trails. Most of our trails have been groomed so there should be no problem following the trails. Be safe and ride right.

Trail conditions - bskinner @ 18:49 PST
We had all four groomers out today, the last one on his way back home as I type this. All of FPUI trails have been groomed except the trails into Canjo on both ends and the trail S74 Through Buel. All the groomer drivers are saying the same thing, trails are good for the most part but there are windblown spots with minimal snow cover. We need more snow. I'll update as needed, please respect landowners by staying on the trails. Ride Right.

Trails are OPEN - bskinner @ 08:01 PST
Trails are OPEN again. The groomers were out last night and are going out today. Be careful out there, there are dips out there that are normally not there because of no base. Please help us out and ride the trails according to the signage, and ride at a speed that will help make a good packed trail. As always ride to the right of the trail and be safe.
