Trail Conditions - bskinner @ 13:08 PST
Trails seem to be getting better, they range from very poor to good. We have been out with groomers to make the trails better towards the southern parts of our trails because that is where the snow is. We are not grooming any trails that go towards the bike path because that trail C7P is closed due to lack of snow cover, PLEASE DO NOT RIDE THE BIKE PATH, it is mostly black top and the skis are damaging the black top, STAY OFF. We will groom some more as weather permits, right now it is too windy to be out with groomers, blowing snow makes it very dangerous crossing roads. Trails that were groomed today were S72 west to C7H, C7H south towards Sharon Hill, C7H from Clinton Road west to C7D. C7D from RTE 5s south towards Richfield at the county line. there ARE A LOT OF WATER HOLES OUT THERE AND SLUSH DON'T RIDE ALONE.I will update when I can. BE SAFE OUT THERE AND WATCH OUT FOR HAZARDS.

Trail Conditions - bskinner @ 15:26 PST
Trails are in fair condition. It's spring and we have water holes and spring seeps that have melted the snow to make mud spots. Groomers have been out trying to make some kind of trail system, but with out frozen ground it tough. Trail C7P( Bike Path) is closed due to lack of snow cover, therefore we won't be grooming any trails that lead to the bike path. You can ride North from our trails towards Epratah, or South towards Sharon and Richfield trails, but the Valley trails are closed or very poor. I will update when I have more. BE SAFE OUT THERE.

Trail Conditions - bskinner @ 07:01 PST
FPUI trails are in Fair conditions for the most part. The trail. C7P(bike path) is closed from Herkimer County Line East to Randal due to lack of snow cover, PLEASE STAY OFF THIS TRAIL. If A GATE IS CLOSED THE TRAIL IS CLOSED. We have done some grooming when the temperature and conditions were right for grooming. IT is March and it is definitely spring conditions, use extreme caution out there, hazards are plentiful out there, water holes, mud and there are still tree branches falling on the trails. Snow is falling as I type this so maybe we will be able to groom some more. I will keep you posted when I can. BE SAFE

Trail Conditions - bskinner @ 06:59 PST
I rode some of our trails yesterday to check on them and they are in poor shape. There are a lot of water holes and mud, some road crossings are a little tough. Trail C7P that goes up the hill from the bike bath between Canjo and Fort Plain has a lot of mud. Trail S73 out in Salt Springville on the gas line big hill is all mud top to bottom. There are little stream running across the trails everywhere. By the time I got home my sled was covered in mud. I'm not riding our trails again due to the mud and water holes. The snow is melting fast, we may have to close trails very soon. The Bike path is getting very thin it won't be long and we will be down to the black top. Ride with CAUTION ON FPUI TRAILS. I will update as needed.

Trail Conditions - bskinner @ 07:40 PST
PFUI trails are still open. Tuesday we hired an outside contractor along with volunteers to open trail C7P(bike path) we remove from the bike path more than 200 trees from Herkimer County line to Randall, which took us eight hours, Thanks to those that help and especially thank you Bob. Wednesday with volunteers we opened Canyon Rd down to the Bike Path. We are going out there to day to work on more trails. It has been too warm to do any grooming if it gets colder we may be able to go out and groom. If you ride our trails be careful there are a lot of water holes which are full of slush and there may be more trees down on trails we haven't gotten to yet. Be careful out there and BE SAFE.

Trail Conditions - bskinner @ 08:15 PST
FPUI trails are in rough shape. We are unable to groom at this point due to warm temps and water holes that would create damage to Landowner properties if we were to take groomers out because the ground under the snow is not frozen. Trail C7P (Bike Path) has numerous trees and branches down and some major Avalanches( between Sprakers and Randall) on it. We are in the process of trying to clear debris from our trails but need Volunteers to help. If you do ride our trails please be careful out there and be on the look out hazards in the trail. I'll update more when things get done, if any one wants to volunteer to help text me at (518)857-5202. Be Safe out there.

Trail Conditions - bskinner @ 08:27 PST
TRAILS ARE OPEN. Well we got two feet of the white stuff, not much good for riding. We are going to try and ride our trails with sleds to find out what they look like, water holes, trees down, etc. We are looking for volunteers to help bust open trails and clear debris from them, if you find any trails that are impassable text me (518)857-5202 or let Jen know on face book where it is. It will take us a few days to get things opened up, and we may not be able to go out with groomers for a while due to ground not being frozen before the snow came and water in the trail turning to slush which gets groomers stuck. Remember we are all volunteers and we will try to get the trails in some kind of shape to ride. Be safe out there and don't ride alone.

Even though we have snow FPUI TRAILS ARE CLOSED due to water on the trails and many trees and branches blocking the trails. We will get out to survey the trails as soon as the volunteers are able to do so safely.
